Our Challenge
The U.S. Government has revised its foreign assistance policy, resulting in the termination of all NRECA International and U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) grants and contracts. This immediately halted the support we have provided to communities in Zambia, Liberia, Guatemala, and other countries. This is affecting hundreds of people in communities who were looking forward to a better quality of life with electric service.
We Need Your Help
We are seeking financial support from both traditional and non-traditional sources. This will enable us to provide technical, governance, management capacity building and general support to the communities who are still in the early stages of forming cooperatives.

The Communities
ZAMBIA

The newly established cooperative needs critical support and training in governance and operations
LIBERIA

The cooperative needs a new solar-diesel hybrid power generation system for a growing community
GUATEMALA

Villages receiving first-time electricity access need knowledge and resources on how to use electricity to earn income.
