Recent Activities
NRECA International implemented the Smart Grid Alliance for the Americas (SGAA) project, an innovative partnership that shared experience and technical assistance in smart grid technology applications to cooperative, municipal and other small electric distribution utilities in Latin America.
In Pakistan, NRECA International engaged in a large performance improvement program with nine electric distribution utilities, where our specialists designed and supervised the installation of AMI/AMR technology.
NRECA member cooperatives have also implemented a major program to evaluate the feasibility of a range of smart grid applications through a U.S. Department of Energy grant, which involved installing and evaluating various smart grid technologies for 23 cooperative electric utilities across the United States.
