Celebrating A Powerful Future in Guatemala

The COVID-19 pandemic forced us to suspend our volunteer electrification program in 2020, but the support, energy and enthusiasm from our US-based electric cooperatives did not falter. We continued to coordinate with co-ops and statewide associations across the country, and are targeting to continue these electrification projects in June this year.

The story isn’t over when the lights go on – in fact, it’s just the beginning. For more than 10 years, our partnership with America’s electric cooperatives has benefitted communities in Guatemala, Bolivia, and other places in the world. This year we celebrate the families in Guatemala, whose lives will have a much better future, thanks in great part to the efforts of our co-op supporters and volunteers. We hope you are inspired by their dedication and commitment.
