In 2023, NRECA International will be partnering with PWI Global of Heifer International, to bring electricity to over 1,200 farmers living in the mountainous regions located in northeastern Guatemala. Our staff will be working closely with Heifer International’s PWI team to grid connect and safely install internal wiring in homes, as PWI Global provides affordable productive equipment. This will empower families to increase their incomes, improve their quality of life and enable the agricultural communities they live in, to thrive.
Launched by Heifer International in 2022, PWI Global aims to provide power, water and internet products and services to 5 million families by 2030.
