Improve the quality of life
Your donation will help fund projects that improve the quality of life. The Oregon Empowers group didn’t stop after the lights came on in a small village in Guatemala. When the work was completed, they rolled up their sleeves, painted the local school and installed playground equipment. The community also received hot plates and water filters.
Aid after natural disasters
Your support will help with power restoration efforts after natural disasters. In 2024, the Jamaican Public Service contacted us after Hurricane Beryl struck the island. When we turned to the U.S. co-op network to help, the response was quick, and nine volunteers from eight co-ops traveled to help restore power for families on the island’s southern coast.
