Cooperative Law and Regulation Initiative (CLARITY) Report

Cooperative Development Program

The Cooperative Law and Regulation Initiative (CLARITY) is a joint collaboration with the group of eight Cooperative Development Organizations (CDOs) that each have CDP awards from USAID. The purpose of CLARITY is to create and disseminate a set of principles for cooperative law reform based on the collective experiences of the member organizations. In March 2005, the CLARITY group members (WOCCU, ACDI/VOCA, AAC/MIS, CCI, NCBA/CLUSA, CHF, NRECA International and LOL) finalized the document “Enabling Cooperative Development: Principles for Legal Reform.”
