As we reflect upon these last 75 years, we will look back upon our legacy and the challenges we have overcome together, while also looking to the future and how we can prepare ourselves for challenges still ahead. We look forward to seeing you at this not-to-be missed celebration!

Hotel & Travel
You can reserve a hotel room in two ways:
- Refer to this list of convention hotels (DOC) and directly go the hotel website of your choice and reserve a room.
- Make your hotel reservations through the following websites (or any other of your choice) to get information on room availability and best prices.
You will need a valid credit card to reserve the room. Please print a copy of the room reservation for proof.

Drive: The airport is approximately 10 miles from the San Diego Convention Center.
Taxi Service: Ground transportation can be obtained at the Transportation Plazas located in front of Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. A Transportation Coordinator will place you with the first available taxi, unless you specify a particular taxicab company. An average rate of $20 (one to two people) is charged from the airport to most downtown areas of San Diego.
Shuttle Bus Service: NRECA will provide complimentary shuttle service to and from the official hotels to the San Diego Convention Center beginning February 26, 2017.

San Diego Convention Center Attendee Website: Arrive early or extend your stay to enjoy the many attractions San Diego has to offer. Visit https://visitsandiego.com/attendees to access an attendee guide, learn about all the things to do in San Diego and access coupons available to convention attendees.
San Diego shuttle services are a convenient way to navigate the city and are ideal for airport pick-ups and drop-offs, as well as going to and from the convention center and cruise ship terminal. There are also local shuttle companies that offer sightseeing tours, daily excursions, and transportation for weddings and private parties.
Shuttle service from the airport is available at the transportation plazas across from the San Diego Airport Terminals 1 and 2, and curbside from the Commuter Terminal.
San Diego Trolley MTS Trolley is a light-rail system that operats on three lines throughout San Diego. Two trolley stations, the Convention Center Station and the Gaslamp Quarter Station are located across the street from the convention center, providing convenient service around downtown and to other areas including Mission Valley and Old Town. Route maps and ticket machines are located at each station. Visit www.sdmts.com for up-to-date schedules and pricing information.
Taxi Services Taxicab stands are located at the airport, most hotels, attractions and shopping centers. Base fare and rates are displayed on the meter and include a flag drop charge plus a per-mile and/or a per-hour charge. If you are traveling from the airport, they will also add $1.50 to your final total. Uber is also well established in San Diego and now has access to service San Diego’s airport.
Pedicabs & Carriages Pedicabs and horse-drawn carriages are popular ways to travel along downtown’s waterfront and in the Gaslamp Quarter. Tours are readily available as well, providing a unique way to explore San Diego’s downtown communities.

NRECA’s 75th Anniversary Celebration in the Gaslamp
Tuesday, February 28 | 5:30-8:30 p.m.
Join NRECA as it celebrates 75 years of service to its members with an unforgettable evening of food, drinks and entertainment in the Historic Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego. NRECA Annual Meeting and TechAdvantage Conference attendees and their guests will have two blocks of Fifth Avenue all to themselves – the street, sidewalks, restaurants and shops will be closed to the public. The party includes live entertainment, two complimentary drink tickets and dinner from any (or all!) of the 11 restaurants located within two city blocks – dine inside or visit the stations of delicious cuisine located in the streets. A ticket is included in the Early Bird, Regular, Early and Regular Next Generation Leaders Program, and Annual Meeting and TechPlus registration fees. If you plan to attend, you must select this event during the registration process. Additional tickets should be purchased for guests, one-day registrants and non-member registrants for $35.
